By default OWA blocks .EXE files (among others) if they are included as an attachment. Is this always necessary? There could be legitimate reasons for emailing an .EXE file yet, with the defaults of OWA, you will not be able to receive such a file. This video shows you how to configure Outlook Web Access to receive/accept any filetype as an attachment - and you get to configure which filetypes are allowed. You could say that people can receive .MDB files but not .EXE, for example.
